Helicopter Twirls Out of Control into Palm Trees at Frequented California Coast
A chopper hovering near a popular coastal shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers observed.
Videos posted on social media capture the chopper commencing to spiral above the shoreline then falling towards the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
Emergency responders reported five people were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three people on the street were hurt. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
