Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Report

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance planning to reveal complete information in its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Earlier reports stated that Paramount was looking to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.

By December 2024, the company had about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization has not yet commented to a request for comment.
